Intelligent Systems and Synthetic Biology Lab SynthBiolLab

Dr Aleksej Zelezniak, Senior Lecturer at King’s College London, UK and Associate Professor at the Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden and founder of Intelligent Systems and Synthetic Biology Lab (SynthBioLab). Our lab develops and applies new data-driven strategies to facilitate the understanding of biological systems to translate the knowledge into synthetic biology and medical applications. He obtained PhD in computational biology at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany under supervision of Prof Kiran Patil and did postdoctoral training at the University of Cambridge and the Francis Crick Institute, London, UK with Prof Markus Ralser. Besides his academic work, he is a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of the protein biomarker discovery company Eliptica Ltd.
